Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Pravachak platform. Pravachak is licensed to schools; students and teachers use it through their school. By using Pravachak, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice.

1. Who these terms apply to

Pravachak is a business-to-business platform. The school is the account holder and is responsible for the seats it provisions. Teachers and students access the platform under their school's licence. Parents interact with Pravachak only through their school and any consent flows the school operates.

2. Licence and seats

Subscriptions are per student, per year, billed annually to the school across the Basic, Standard, Premium and Enterprise tiers. Each tier carries student- and teacher-seat limits and a school-corpus storage quota. Seat and quota limits are enforced by the platform. Government schools may be granted access at no cost at Pravachak's discretion.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another user's account, data or another school's tenant.
  • Use the platform to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or to circumvent its safety guardrails.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the platform except as expressly permitted in the school agreement.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use into the school corpus.

4. How the AI behaves

Pravachak's AI is a learning aid. It guides students Socratically and will not do homework or exams for a student - it will not output a verbatim answer to an active assignment question. This homework-help boundary is enforced at the platform level, not merely by prompting, and cannot be bypassed.

AI-generated content (lesson plans, quizzes, explanations) may contain errors. Teachers must review AI-generated assessments before assigning them to students; AI writing scores are suggestions for the teacher, never final grades. The platform is not a substitute for professional educational judgement.

5. Content ownership

AI-generated content created by a teacher belongs to that teacher and appears in their library. The school retains a non-exclusive licence to content created on the platform for the duration of the subscription, and an admin may reassign a departing teacher's content to another teacher. Content a school uploads to its own corpus remains the school's; the school is responsible for having the rights to it.

6. Data protection

The school is the Data Fiduciary and Pravachak is the Data Processor under the DPDP Act, 2023. Our handling of student data - consent, PII masking, audit logging, export, deletion and India residency - is described in the Privacy Notice and governed by the Data Processing Agreement signed with each school.

7. Suspension, renewal and data lifecycle

Subscriptions renew annually. If a licence lapses or a school is suspended, Pravachak applies soft enforcement: new AI generation pauses, but previously assigned content stays readable during a grace period - schools are not locked out mid-term without notice. Full lockout follows only after the grace period. On non-renewal, data enters a time-boxed export-and-deletion window as set out in the school agreement.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep Pravachak available and performant, including on low-bandwidth networks, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and support levels are described in the school agreement. Offline AI tutoring is not offered; offline use is limited to reading cached content and queued study.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. Pravachak is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made solely on the basis of AI-generated output that has not been reviewed by a qualified educator. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to schools. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Hyderabad, Telangana having jurisdiction, unless the signed school agreement states otherwise.

11. Contact
